About the Project
Pen, Paper, & Heart: Legacy is a long-form literary and archival experiment by Elijah A. Bland (E. A. Bland), built to span decades. The mission: to create 76 unique collections of Found Poetry, using only a single source book β without ever destroying a page.
Through this commitment to non-destructive poetic transformation, the project explores the tension between permanence and impermanence, preservation and creation, constraint and liberation.
Objectives
- 76 Poetry Collections β Each with 50β75 poems, exploring a wide range of themes and expressions
- Non-Destructive Method β Poems are formed without altering the source book physically
- Creative Community β Built through workshops, collaborations, and shared experiments
- Innovative Distribution β Across physical books, e-books, AR, NFTs, and more
Methodology
All poems arise from one source text, carefully selected for its depth and texture. Through constraint comes clarity β only words and phrases from that original book are used to construct every collection. Nothing is torn, nothing erased. Only discovered.
Whatβs Ahead
- Volume 01: Life Preservers β Completed and published in 2025
- Volumes 02β10: In active early development
- Anthology spin-offs and companion works in sound, film, and design
- Educational initiatives and self-publishing resources in development
